Supported Devices and Browsers:

It is highly recommended that you use a laptop or desktop computer running either Windows 10 or MacOS and not a mobile device.
You will need to join the course using one of the supported browsers:

Windows PC or Laptop: CHROME or MICROSOFT EDGE
Mac: CHROME, SAFARI or MICROSOFT EDGE

Please make sure that your browser is up-to-date and that any other programmes that might be trying to use your camera and microphone (Zoom, Teams etc.) are closed.

Checks:

In advance of joining the course, please make sure that your camera, microphone, speakers and firewalls are working correctly and will allow you to access the virtual platform.

This system checker link will do this for you: https://onlinevirtualevents.org/systemCheck.html

Some NHS Trust firewalls may block access to the virtual platform. If this is the case, we hope that your IT team can resolve the issue for you or that you can join from a personal computer.

Joining the Event:

To join the course, please use the following link: https://event.onlinevirtualevents.org/e/medical-emergencies-for-trainees/register

Please try again closer to the course if you encounter problems as it is likely that your email hasn’t been loaded into the event platform – when this is done will depend on the timing of your registration. Registrations completed in the last 24 hours before any virtual event are unlikely to be loaded until just before the course is due to start.

Information and Instructions:

For detailed instructions about how to join the course and then navigate the virtual platform, please view or download: Virtual Course Instructions for Delegates

For suggestions of ways to resolve technical issues, please view or download: Troubleshooting

Feedback & CPD:

Following the course, please keep an eye out for an email with a link to the feedback survey. It would be much appreciated if you spare a few minutes to let us know your thoughts as this will be very useful for future courses.

CPD certificates will be provided by email the week following the course.

It is very important that you click the QUIT EVENT button to leave the course. The platform will only record your attendance if you do this and we need this proof of attendance in order to issue your CPD certificate.
